Híbria Rental achieves operational gains and significant cost reductionwith the LiuGong 856HE electric wheel loader

Limestone loading application demonstrates gains in energy efficiency,
mechanical availability, and reduction in total operating costs

Driven by the pursuit of operational efficiency in demanding applications, Híbria
Rental incorporated the LiuGong 856HE electric wheel loader into its fleet.
Operating under intensive conditions in calcitic limestone loading, the machine
has delivered consistent productivity gains, significant reductions in energy
costs, and high mechanical availability, establishing itself as a technically viable
solution for highly demanding industrial operations.
The machine was delivered in April 2025 and has since accumulated more than
4.600 operating hours, averaging approximately 420 hours per month under
continuous operation. The unit is dedicated to loading and dumping limestone
into a hopper, a material characterized by high abrasiveness, a tendency to
compact in humid environments, and significant particulate generation under
dry conditions.
Even under these conditions, the operational indicators demonstrated superior
performance compared to conventional diesel-powered equipment. Average
productivity reached 206,3 tons per hour, representing a 27,9% increase over
the competing machine evaluated in the same application. At the same time,
energy efficiency reached 5,8 tons per kWh, highlighting the suitability of the
electric solution for intensive operating cycles.
Another critical aspect observed was the significant reduction in direct operating
costs. The energy cost per ton of material handled was estimated at R$ 0,12,
representing a 72,7% reduction compared to the fuel cost associated with the
diesel-powered machine used for comparison. In addition, the electric
configuration eliminates components typically found in internal combustion
systems, such as fuel lines, intake filters, and engine lubrication systems,
contributing to a lower need for corrective interventions and reducing the time
required for preventive maintenance.
According to Rogério Pereira, Product Supervisor at LiuGong, the experience
reinforces the potential of electrified solutions in highly demanding operating
environments. “In severe applications, such as limestone loading, electric
technology demonstrates clear advantages in energy efficiency, mechanical
availability, and cost predictability. The simplification of systems associated with
the powertrain reduces the consumption of operating inputs and contributes to
greater reliability throughout the equipment’s lifecycle,” he explains.
In practice, the results were also clearly perceived by the customer’s operation.
“We operate in a highly demanding environment, with large material volumes
and continuous operating cycles. The 856HE exceeded our expectations in
terms of productivity and cost per ton of material handled. Reduced
maintenance downtime and operational stability were important differentiators
for the overall performance of the operation,” says Fábio Carneiro Notini,
Administrator of Híbria Rental.
The equipment was acquired following a field evaluation period under the Try
and Buy program, which allowed previously defined performance indicators to
be validated under real operating conditions. Throughout the evaluation, the
wheel loader maintained high availability, averaging 14,9 operating hours per
day, seven days a week, confirming the robustness of the solution in
continuous-production industrial environments.
Integration with productivity and electrification strategies
The results observed at Híbria Rental align with the technical discussions
promoted by LiuGong through customer engagement initiatives such as the Key
Account Experience, which highlights electrification as a strategic driver for
increasing operational efficiency and reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Studies conducted across different operations indicate that, when combined
with specialized operator training, electric equipment in this category can
achieve even higher productivity levels, with additional reductions in hourly
operating costs and improvements in operational sustainability indicators.
Based on the results achieved, the application of the 856HE electric wheel
loader in Híbria Rental’s operation demonstrates the technical and economic
viability of electrification in demanding industrial environments. The machine
has established itself as a competitive alternative for mining operations, bulk
mineral handling logistics, and high-utilization rental applications.

Latin America, and Hebert Francisco, Vice President of LiuGong Latin America,
highlighting the strategic importance of the Brazilian market for the
manufacturer’s global growth.
The main objective of the initiative was to demonstrate that electrification is
already part of heavy equipment operations in Brazil, delivering tangible results
in productivity, energy efficiency, and cost reduction. The program included
dynamic demonstrations and technical presentations focused on large-scale
projects in mining, infrastructure, rental, industry, and agribusiness.
Electrification applied in real-world operations
During the event, LiuGong presented its portfolio of electrified solutions,
highlighting specific applications for different segments. For mining operations
and aggregate handling in severe environments, the 870HE and 856HE electric
wheel loaders were showcased.
The 870HE, equipped with an electric motor of up to 160 kW and a 4,7 m3
bucket, delivers an average productivity of more than 560 tons per hour,
combined with an estimated operating cost of around R$ 0,02 per ton. The
856HE, in turn, demonstrates an average production close to 350 tons per hour,
reinforcing the viability of electrification in large-scale operations.
For applications in rental, construction, industry, and agribusiness, the
manufacturer highlighted the 838TE electric wheel loader, with average

LiuGong launches the LTC800T5 and LTC900T5 truck cranes in Brazil forhigh-complexity projects

80- and 90-ton models strengthen the manufacturer’s presence in infrastructure, industrial construction, and equipment rental applications

Campinas (SP), January 2026 – LiuGong announces the launch in Brazil of
the LTC800T5 and LTC900T5 truck cranes, with maximum lifting capacities of
80 and 90 tons, designed for high-complexity lifting operations. Classified as
truck cranes, the machines were developed to serve applications such as the
assembly of precast concrete structures, industrial projects, shopping centers,
plants, heavy maintenance, oil and gas, as well as support operations in wind
      energy projects.
The combination of lifting capacity and ease of mobility makes these models
particularly attractive to rental companies and engineering firms. According to
Flavio Souza, LiuGong Product Manager, the launch responds to a recurring
demand in the Brazilian market. “We already support our customers from the
early stages of a project through to large-scale operations. We have now
completed our portfolio with a fundamental support machine—the truck crane.
With the LTC800T5 and LTC900T5 models, we are able to offer a
comprehensive solution while maintaining LiuGong’s philosophy of robustness
and ease of maintenance,” he states.

Standardized technical architecture with a focus on safety
Both cranes share the same technical platform, a feature that facilitates
maintenance and component interchangeability. Both models are equipped
      with a 275 kW Cummins engine, a 10-speed Fast transmission, a four-axle
chassis, 385/95R25 tires, and independent cabins for the truck and the crane,
      both fitted with air conditioning.
Equipped with a U-shaped telescopic main boom, the cranes feature five
sections and a maximum reach of 50 meters, setting a new benchmark for the
market. The auxiliary jib, with a length of up to 16 meters, expands versatility in
operations that require greater horizontal reach.

LiuGong chose to offer as standard features items that are often optional in the
market, including an emergency steering pump, which ensures equipment
control in the event of hydraulic failure, and an electric retarder, which enhances
safety on long descents and operations on inclined terrain. The proposal is to
deliver a more complete machine that meets the needs of the most demanding
customers. “Safety is not an option for LiuGong!” emphasizes the product
      manager.

      Operational control, stability, and precision
The LTC800T5 and LTC900T5 are equipped with a slewing system with dual
hydraulic motors, providing precise movements and smooth braking, reducing
load oscillation during operation. The system is complemented by a WIKA load
moment limiter, with a Portuguese-language interface, outrigger pressure
sensors, an anemometer, a camera at the boom tip, and a camera on the winch
drum to monitor wire rope spooling in real time.
Another key differentiator is the four-wheel steering system, including crab
mode, which reduces the turning radius to approximately 10 meters, facilitating
maneuverability in confined spaces, urban job sites, and industrial areas.
Equipped with counterweights—up to 17.8 tons on the LTC900T5 and 15 tons
on the LTC800T5, the truck cranes are also capable of transporting their own
counterweights over short distances, reducing the need for support trucks in
certain operations and contributing to optimized logistics costs.
      .
      Growth strategy and local support
According to Hebert Francisco, Vice President of LiuGong Brazil, the launch of
the truck cranes is aligned with the company’s growth strategy in Brazil. “By
launching the LTC800T5 and LTC900T5 models, we reinforce our commitment
to offering the Brazilian market an increasingly comprehensive portfolio, with
equipment designed for complex applications and supported by a structured
local technical support network. Our focus is to ensure productivity, safety, and
high availability for our customers,” explains Hebert Francisco.
Sales will be carried out through LiuGong’s distributor network in Brazil. In
parallel, the company is already conducting technical maintenance training
across the network, as well as commercial training programs, to ensure the
correct application and operation of the new equipment.
